Training Course In PCR Detection of Influenza and ARI, Research Institute of Influenza, March 23 – April 3, 2015

Two specialists from reference laboratories of Turkmenistan attended a week and a half long training course on PCR techniques at the RII. The course, organized jointly with WHO/Europe, took place March 23 – April 3, 2015, at the RII’s Laboratory of Molecular Virology. The laboratory’s senior researcher Maria M. Pisareva taught lectures and provided hands–on training in organizing a PCR laboratory, collecting samples, PCR procedures, processing results, waste recycling, safety guidelines and database management.

Additionally the trainees attended an introductory course on sequencing, presented by senior researcher Andrey B. Komissarov. 

Upon completion of the course trainees received personal certificates.
