The Smorodintsev Research Institute of Influenza is one of the only clinical centers featuring a high degree of specialization in the field of virology. The Institute combines several roles. One is providing qualified virological expertise to the population during influenza epidemics. In the context of pandemic preparedness, the Institute also introduces advanced scientific research into medical practice, tests new drugs and vaccines, and presents recommendations for the treatment and prevention of viral infections.
